We are thrilled, honoured and humbled to be included in the finalists for two categories in the awards this year. After our nomination and win in 2020 for the Small Business Awards, it was exciting to be nominated once again in 2023. Our owners Jenna Keen and Eryn Davies are finalists for the Social Impact Award, and the Canberra Business Woman of the Year (Women!). The whole team will be attending the gala, as we support all women in the Canberra region.
As part of our awards submission, we reflect on the impact CPC's team has had - the team has expanded to 22, which has meant we have been lucky enough to support over 5000 clients since our opening back in 2016. While you would assume our core service is to community clients, we have also taken on a core service and role to support, educate and build the careers of young university students wishing to become psychologists but may be struggling due to the current tightly held, limited postgraduate options for becoming a registered psychologist. Now our practice is strongly established, we have developed and introduced this social initiative with a strong future plan to keep expanding the reach of this project and we are excited to share this with you.
To connect with our community, enhance public well-being, we’ve launched several initiatives, including disseminating free mental health content on social media, offering complimentary online mental health courses, endorsing programs from other local Canberra businesses and providing diverse therapeutic approaches, including Animal Assisted Therapy.
Our goal is to continue to support and extend, and we look forward to many more years doing so.
